Why I’m Sweating with Pride
This June, I’m taking part in Sweat with Pride—and yes, there will be sweat. But more importantly, there will be purpose.
I’m doing this because I want to help build a world where every LGBTQIA+ person can imagine a future that includes meeting the love of their life, getting married, starting a family—or whatever version of happiness feels most true to them. A future where they feel worthy of love, of joy, of being celebrated exactly as they are.
Because for many in our community, that sense of worth doesn’t come easy. Discrimination, fear, and invisibility still take up too much space. We see it in schools where queer kids feel unsafe. In workplaces where people hide parts of themselves. In health systems that don’t always see or support us.
So this month, I’m pushing my regular exercise routine further and longer—not for the fitness challenge, but for the real challenge: creating change.
Every dollar I raise helps fund critical support services for LGBTQIA+ people across Australia. And if you’re in a position to contribute, I would be incredibly grateful.
Let’s sweat so others can soar. Let’s show our rainbow communities that they’re seen, supported, and more than worthy.
With love and purpose,
