Why I’m Sweating with Pride

I’m taking on Sweat with Pride this June and raising much-needed cash for our rainbow communities 💦

As an educator and recently out member of the LGBTQIA+ community it is hard to see such a continued lack of safety in many schools and doctor offices

Almost three million Australians identify as LGBTQIA+. However, even though we have made significant strides, our communities are far from free. Our communities have the highest rates of suicide amongst all those in Australia, and less than 50% of rainbow kids feel safe at school. Things need to change.

To fix this, I’m taking a stand against discrimination and I’ve committed to exercising for at least an hour every day in June to raise money to fight for Australian LGBTQIA+ communities.

This cause means a lot to me and it would mean as much to me if you could donate however much you are able to assist me to reach $300 before the end of the June. Every dollar raise will fund necessary services for Australian rainbow communities.

Thank you so much, you are the best 🏳️‍🌈
