Why I’m Sweating with Pride
Before finding Cowboy C*untry, I didn’t realise how badly I needed community. Turns out queer line dancing is much better for my mental health than rotting in bed and calling it “processing”.
What started as learning a few dances became friendship, confidence, connection, and one of the first spaces where I truly felt safe to experience queer joy loudly and unapologetically.
That’s why I’m Sweating with Pride this June.
LGBTQIA+ people still face discrimination, isolation, and mental health challenges every day. I’m moving for 21 minutes a day to help raise money for services that support rainbow communities, improve wellbeing, and create more safe spaces for people to feel connected and supported.
If you’re able to donate, thank you so much. And if not, please know emotionally processing through aggressive line dancing remains incredibly valid 🤠🌈
